POPULATION 8

BY NICHOLAS GRAY

Population 8 is a rich slice-of-life piece detailing the deceptively simple existence of the remaining eight citizens on the dying plains of the fictional Loki, North Dakota. Rooted in the historic reality that has plagued one of our nation's least populous state, the story is one of survival, isolation, home, love, and hope. Eight becomes nine, then eight again, and continues to dwindle beyond that, as the Loki Eight are made to accept the truth of what lies ahead.
